Today, as Champ and I were heading back to work from lunch, we saw some cameramen, and discovered that John Bolton would be making an appearance. George Bush just announced today that he would become the next U.S. Ambassador to the UN. Although it was anticlimactic, it was still incredibly neat that we got to see him right after he was appointed.
It was fortuitous that you were able to see John Bolten on the way back to work, just as he was being booed at his appearance. Although Bush’s use of the backdoor policy to override congress was quite perfidious, the inimical booing is an absolute opprobrium. All of them should be castigated for their actions. (What? I’m practicing for the GRE:)
